SG Course

Our class meets once per week for 45 minutes. In class we improve our speaking skills, speech techniques, and fluency in English. We also discuss various current events happening around the globe. While the class is only 45 minutes, once a week, our students invest many more hours outside of class. Our class textbook is Conversation Strategies by David Kehe and Peggy Dustin Kehe. This book combines linguistic and sociolinguistic skills focusing on grammar, vocabulary, structures, and usage. The format is individual exercise followed by pair group practice.

Our students have research assignments in addition to their large-scale ongoing projects; all developed outside of class time. Our students also create and participate in special programs for visitors and international programs. One of the most important aspects of the course is to develop responsibility and diverse approaches to complicated challenges. And to that end, the course itself is constantly evolving and changing. The flexibility allows us to constantly try new things.

Here are just some of the various projects we have launched. Please do not reproduce any of these materials without consent.
